$10.9 Million in Individual Tax Refunds Paid This Week

Hagåtña, Guam - On March 25, 2024, the Department of Revenue & Taxation processed and the Department of Administration mailed checks or paid by direct deposit, 3,698 Individual Tax (1040) refund payments totaling $10,966,620for Tax Year 2023 and prior error-free returns filed on, or before, March 1, 2024.

Individual Tax refunds paid this week total 3,698 (97%) of 3,810 refunds processed were for error-free Early Filersfor Tax Year 2023.

A total of $86,262,438 refund payments have been processed in FY 2024.

Refunds will continue to be paid weekly. Due to the volume of early filers for Tax Year 2023, an unprecedented payment turnaround time will continue to fluctuate between 3 to 6 weeks. SPECIAL NOTE: it may take up to 15 days from the date of the processing of checks or direct deposits to reach each refund recipient, provided the return is found to be error-free (A-Status). Individuals receiving payment by direct deposits will see a $0 transaction in their bank account prior to receiving their refunds (-note).
