Bridge Replacement Project on Cloe-Rossiter Road in Bell Township, Jefferson County

Indiana, PA - The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is announcing a bridge replacement project for on Cloe-Rossiter Road in Bell Township, Jefferson County.

May 29 through mid-August, the bridge over a tributary to Canoe Creek on Cloe-Rossiter Road will be replaced. A 73-day detour will be in place between Smyerstown Road and Route 36. To detour from the

northern end of the structure, motorists will travel north on Cloe-Rossiter Road for 1.2 miles to a stop sign. Turn left onto Route 36 north and travel for 2.1 miles and turn left onto Route 119 south at the stop light. Travel on Route 119 for 1.3 miles and make a left at the stop light at Walmart onto Snyder Hill Road. Travel on Snyder Hill Road for 1.1 miles and turn right at the 4-way stop onto Altman Avenue Extension. Travel on Altman Avenue Extension for 1.9 miles and turn left onto Route 2013 at the stop sign. Travel on Route 2013 for 0.3 miles to a stop sign at the intersection of Route 2013, Smyerstown Road and Cloe-Rossiter Road. Go straight at the stop sign onto Cloe-Rossiter Road for 0.7 miles to the southern end of the bridge closure.

Contractor, Charles J. Merlo of Mineral Point, PA will be completing this $921,000 project.
