CEPOL Executive Director visits Prague and Bratislava

This week, the Executive Director of CEPOL, Ms. Montserrat Marín López visited the Czech Republic and Slovakia. In Prague and Bratislava she had fruitful discussions with high-level representatives from the countries' authorities regarding topics of mutual interest. The Executive Director also outlined her vision for the agency's future and explored opportunities to further strengthen cooperation in the field of law enforcement training.

Ms. Marín López noted the high quality of the law enforcement education structures in both countries and expressed her appreciation for the warm welcome from our partners. Furthermore, in Prague discussions also evolved around the country's upcoming Presidency of the Council of the EU, while in Bratislava she was updated about the positive roll-out of the new multitenancy feature, as Slovakia is the first EU Member State operating a National LEEd platform.

The Czech Republic and Slovakia are the first two countries that Ms Marín López has visited, since she took up her duties as Executive Director of CEPOL in February. In the upcoming period she is planning to travel to several EU Member States, so as to have a better overview of the specific training structures in each country, understand in depth the particular law enforcement training needs, as well as identify synergies and new cooperation possibilities within the scope of the Agency's mandate.
