November 17, 2021 - An ALROSA delegation, headed by the company's CEO, paid a visit to the Republic of Zimbabwe. Sergey Ivanov met with His Excellency Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, in Harare. He also visited the geological exploration camp of ALROSA Zimbabwe Limited (ALROSA Zim), a joint venture prospecting for primary diamond deposits. Sergey Ivanov informed President Mnangagwa about the progress of prospecting works and expressed gratitude for the assistance provided, noting that the country has created excellent conditions to attract foreign investments.

ALROSA Zim, a joint venture of ALROSA (owning 70% of shares) and the Zimbabwe Consolidated Diamond Company (ZCDC) carries prospecting and preliminary exploration works for primary diamond deposits at the Matabeleland South, Matabeleland North and Manicaland provinces of Zimbabwe.

Sergey Ivanov said: "ALROSA's joint venture with ZCDC has been carrying out early exploration works in the Republic of Zimbabwe since 2020. According to the shareholder agreement and a JV establishment agreement, ALROSA controls 70% of ALROSA Zim, whilst the Zimbabwean state-owned diamond mining company owns 30%.
