Pavement maintenance scheduled for June 27-July 1
(COLUMBIA, MO)- Innovative Roadway Solutions, LLC, contractor for the City of Columbia Public Works department, is scheduled to perform pavement maintenance on sections of 19 City streets beginning Monday, June 27 at 7 a.m., weather permitting.
The contractor will be applying Onyx surface treatment, a fast-drying asphalt roadway and pavement sealing solution designed to extend pavement life to Columbia streets. It is a mixture of liquid asphalt, fine aggregates, recycled products and bonding agents.
The contractor plans to work daily from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. No parking signs have been posted on streets planned for treatment. Please refrain from parking your vehicles on signed streets during working hours.
Temporary lane closures will be required until the product is absorbed into the asphalt. Traffic control signs and flaggers will be present to assist motorists through work zones as needed. Motorists and pedestrians should use caution in work zones and find alternate routes if possible.
A full list of the 19 streets that will receive surface treatment is attached to this press release. Maintenance is scheduled to be completed by Friday, July 1 at 5 p.m., weather permitting.
