Norton Rose Fulbright names Paul Trahan as Austin Partner-in-Charge

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has appointed Paul Trahan as the Partner-in-Charge of its Austin office. With more than 70 lawyers, the office represents established companies as well as growing entities, including startups in the technology and life sciences and healthcare sectors.

Paul, who joined the firm in 1996, said:

"I am honored to have the opportunity to lead this exceptional team in our Austin office. Serving our clients with integrity remains our highest priority, and I will also continue to foster our office's culture of respect and collaboration, while having fun."

Paul focuses his litigation practice on complex commercial matters in a variety of industries while also advising clients on bankruptcy matters and serious personal injury claims. He has significant jury trial, bench trial and arbitration experience, handling all aspects of pretrial, trial and appellate work for corporate clients across the US.

Paul succeeds Mark Oakes, who has led the office since 2018.

Norton Rose Fulbright's Austin office opened 45 years ago, with the late Pike Powers serving as its first Partner-in-Charge. Today, the Austin lawyers advise on a wide range of practices, including intellectual property, disputes, renewable energy, public finance, real estate, tax, healthcare and government investigations.

Paul earned his JD from The University of Texas School of Law, his MBA from The University of Texas and his BA from Texas A&M University.
