IG Group hires Katherine Whitton as Chief Marketing Officer

London, UK, 18 November, 2021 - IG Group (LON:IGG), a global leader in online trading, today announced that it has appointed Katherine Whitton as its Global Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and a member of the Company's executive committee. An established leader with global blue-chip brand and marketing expertise, Whitton brings over 30 years of experience in leading with a customer-centric, outcome-based approach to marketing and business. Based in London, UK, Whitton reports to global IG Group CEO, June Felix.

During her time with Specsavers, her achievements included the restructure of the in-house agency and the development and implementation of a new brand strategy, including a refreshed visual identity, logo, and global store format. Previous roles include senior marketing and management positions with Barclaycard, British Airways and American Express.

Whitton's industry accolades include being counted as one of Campaign magazine's Power 100, Marketing Week named her one of their top 100 most effective marketers, based on factors including business success, innovative thinking, leadership through crisis, and overall influence.
