BRF DONATIONS TO SCHOOLS IN CAPINZAL AND OURO REINFORCE THE FIGHT AGAINST COVID-19

Primary education establishments received products to sanitize classrooms

One of the largest food companies in the world, BRF continues to make donations to contribute to actions in the fight against Covid-19 and its effects on society. In the Midwest of Santa Catarina, the São Cristóvão and Belisário Pena Primary Education schools in Capinzal, and the Prefeito Sílvio Santos school in Ouro, received products such as 70% alcohol, alcohol gel, detergents, liquid soap and bleach for sanitization. The three schools have 1,200 students and 98 teachers

The donation is part of an additional BRL 50 million announced by BRF on March 31 to help combat the Covid-19 pandemic. The initiative includes actions in 15 Brazilian states and in countries where BRF has production units, distribution centers and corporate offices. The company's goal is to continue its efforts to contain the spread of the Coronavirus, contribute to the care of the population during the emergency phase and act to combat the effects of the pandemic.

In 2020, the Company had already directed BRL 50 million in donations, which still benefit the population of 175 municipalities distributed throughout the country, in addition to countries such as the Arab Emirates, Kuwait, China, Turkey, Singapore, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Oman. In Brazil alone, there were 1100 social entities benefited by BRF's actions, including through its partners. According to the BRF Institute, in total, more than 500,000 items were donated, including PPE items such as masks, gloves and caps for health professionals, besides alcohol gel, Covid-19 diagnostic tests, thermometers and hospital equipment.
