COVID-19 Update 17 June 2021

Published: June 17, 2021

The Chief Medical Officer, Dr. John Lee, reports that 782 COVID-19 tests have been carried out since this was last reported on Wednesday, 16 June, 2021. There were two positive results in travellers.

As of Monday, 7 June 2021, 86,711 COVID-19 vaccinations had been given in total in the Cayman Islands. Of these, 46,928 (66% of 71,100) had at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and approximately 55% (39,090) have completed the two-dose course.

The vaccine supply for clinics on Grand Cayman has been replenished. Vaccine clinics will resume on 17 June and will be offering second doses only through 19 June. First and second doses will be offered from 21 June.

The latest COVID-19 vaccination schedule is available at:

The public is reminded of COVID-19 vaccination clinic protocols:

  • Bring a form of ID which shows your date of birth (you no longer need to prove that you are legally and/or ordinarily resident in the Cayman Islands).

  • Park in the long-term parking lot.
  • Do not bring children, when possible.
  • No pets allowed at the vaccination clinic.
  • Bring a completed consent form for Dose 1.
  • Facemasks required.
  • You need to bring your vaccination card to receive your second dose.
