Corey D. Berman Named a Lawyer “On the Rise” by Daily Business Review

Weil Complex Commercial Litigation counsel Corey D. Berman was named one of South Florida's "On the Rise" lawyers by the Daily Business Review. He is one of only 18 attorneys to be honored with this award, which recognizes the region's outstanding attorneys under the age of 40 for their expertise, accomplishments and commitment to community service.

The Q&A profile discussed why Corey chose the legal profession, his favorite mentor, as well as his proudest moment and biggest career hurdle.

"My proudest moment was being part of a team that won a significant summary judgment for our client in a case involving hundreds of millions of dollars," Corey said. "Relatedly, my biggest hurdle has been trying to vindicate that victory in a subsequently filed case in a different jurisdiction now involving billions of dollars in potential damages."

Daily Business Review also discussed Corey's path to the law and skills he used to succeed, the best advice he has received and the lessons he has learned from adapting to the pandemic.

This is the fourth time a Weil attorney has been recognized with this award. Most recently, counsel Pravin Patel won in 2020.
