The Austin Police Department (APD) has identified Margaret A. Brubeck as the deceased in the June 17 traffic fatality on Mesa Dr.
Officers responded to a single-vehicle collision near Mesa Dr. and Spicewood Springs Rd. The initial investigation shows that the 2016 Subaru Forester driven by Ms. Brubeck veered off the roadway for an unknown reason. The vehicle struck a tree and Ms. Brubeck was transported to Dell Seton Medical Center at the University of Texas in serious but stable condition. On June 18, 2021, she passed away at 9:19 a.m.
