The annual cost of waste-related crime in England has more than doubled in just three years and now costs the country £924 million pounds a year, according to the latest study by ESA / Eunomia.

The report, Counting the Cost of Waste Crime (esauk.org), highlights the shocking extent of waste crime and its rising cost to both the environment and economy.

The operation of illegal waste sites accounts for an estimated £236 million (up from £98 million in 2015).
