Version 8.9 Release Notes

We're excited to announce the release of Version 8.9, packed with enhancements and new features to streamline your user experience and empower your operations.

Here's what you can expect:

Platform updates for all users:

• Enjoy a sleeker interface with an upgraded JDK to v17 and improved UI performance.
• Test automation improvements for clients using GoldenSource test automation suite. In this release we have added a record & play feature to significantly reduce test case creation efforts.
• Multi-Edit & In-Table Enhancements: Simplify your workflow with enhanced multi-edit functionality and in-table improvements.
• JBoss Support: We're transitioning exclusively to JBoss (open source), bidding farewell to Websphere and Weblogic, ensuring better compatibility and performance.
• GSO Designer enhancements: User approval setup enabled.
• Template extension including inheritance support for custom screens making it easier to maintain.
• Enhanced Workflows to meet industry standards and address existing limitations including integration with GSO designer for end-to-end design experience.
• UI Performance enhanced in rendering detail screens.

For clients who are licensed to use:

MDS (Market Data Solutions):

• (New) MDS Sell-side App: equipped with best practices for sell-side price and curves mastering processes including:
• Standardized instrument and curve/surface screens, templates and symbology cross reference.
• Prudential Valuations: For AVA derivation, which can be attached to golden prices.
• Price request tool for automation and hierarchical scheduled and ad hoc price requests.
• Enhanced price and curve Suspect Identification and clearing screens and validations.
• Datawarehouse Integration

Product Master/Account Master:

• Our new Buyside Account and Product Master App: Product and Account Master have been enhanced to further extend our industry leading data model, and our workflow-based approach for large Asset Managers. Our App comes with standardized templates, and data extracts to get the clients up and running faster on our platform.

Data Warehouse:

• Regulatory Compliance: GoldenSource continues to invest in the data warehouse capabilities around regulatory reporting. Clients who need to conform to the Australian Prudential Regulatory Authority (APRA) will benefit from our new standardized reporting templates, such as RG97 which relates to how funds report on fees.

(New) GoldenSource Omni (Our Native Snowflake App):

• Introducing GoldenSource Omni, a great way to rapidly build your investment data warehouse on Snowflake. If your organization uses Snowflake, go to the marketplace here to read more about how GoldenSource can help accelerate your cloud data transformation.
