39% of all owned houses and dwellings repaid loans 2021

Vienna,2022-05-25 - According to Statistics Austria, almost every second household in Austria lives in home ownership. 39% of them repaid a loan to finance their house or apartment ownership in 2021. In 2021, the House Price Index (HPI 2010) rose by 12.3% compared to 2020. In comparison, rents for new rentals rose by 2.9%.
