Tonya Marie Kramer presented with President’s Award at Honors Convocation

Tonya Marie Kramer of Keystone, Iowa, received the prestigious President's Award at Mount Mercy University's Honors Convocation on Friday, May 10.

The President's Award is given each year to a graduating student who has demonstrated a strong academic record, positive engagement in the campus community, and service to others during their tenure at Mount Mercy. The honoree also illustrates the best in student tenacity, dedication, compassion, and heart.

Tonya was involved in a number of clubs and activities in her time at Mount Mercy. She was a McAuley Scholar and member of Project Connect. She went on to become President of Gen 1-a club for first generation students-a member of the Psychology Club and a member of SOMOS. Tonya was also dedicated to helping her peers, serving as a peer academic coach and peer education assistant manager in the Academic Center for Excellence.

Tonya will graduate with a Bachelor of Science in psychology and a minor in Spanish on Sunday, May 12.
