JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Despite a career-high 21 points from freshman and 26 points from , the Kennesaw State women's basketball team fell 77-72 to North Florida Saturday afternoon at the UNF Arena in Jacksonville.
Street was a point shy of her career high, and Poole established a personal-best despite picking up her fourth foul in the third quarter. However, the Owls (4-9, 0-2) were unable to overcome 25 turnovers and lost to the Ospreys (8-9, 1-1) for the first time in their last seven meetings. Street also established a career-high with seven assists and added three steals.
After leading 39-31 at halftime, Kennesaw State built its lead to 14 points at 55-41 with 3:43 remaining in the third quarter. However, eight turnovers in the period helped North Florida get back into the game as the Ospreys closed out the quarter with a 15-3 run to trail 58-56 heading to the fourth quarter.
The final period had three lead changes with North Florida taking the lead for good at 63-62 with 4:13 remaining. The Ospreys extended their lead to seven points on two occasions inside the final two minutes.

The Owls set season-highs for field goal percentage (49.2, 29-for-59) and three-point field goal percentage (46.2, 6-for-13). Turnovers proved costly for Kennesaw State as North Florida scored 30 points off the Owls' 25 giveaways. Street scored 20 or more points for the fifth time this season and freshman Brianna Hoover totaled a career-high six rebounds to go along with six points. Fouls factored in the game as the Owls were called for 23, while the Ospreys were whistled for 13 fouls and went 13-for-20 from the free throw line. KSU was 8-for-13 from the charity stripe.
The Owls will conclude their Florida trip when they visit Jacksonville on Monday (Jan. 15) at 1 p.m.
