On 24 April commemoration ceremonies of the Armenian Genocide were held in Assen and Almelo.
In Assen, a wreath-laying ceremony was held in front of the monument commemorating the martyrs of the Armenian Genocide. The ceremony was attended by Mayor Marco Out, representatives of the Embassy of Armenia in the Netherlands and the Armenian community.
A tribute was paid at the Armenian Genocide memorial complex in Almelo, with the participation of Mayor Mirjam van't Veld, representatives of the municipality of Almelo, Embassy of Armenia in the Netherlands, members of the Dutch Parliament and the Armenian community organizations.
