Update from Alabama Medicaid – Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19)

The Alabama Medicaid Agency (Medicaid) continues to work with the Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) and other state and federal agencies to stay up-to-date on the spread of COVID-19 in Alabama. During the COVID-19 public health emergency, Medicaid is making important changes to better serve recipients. • Know the symptoms. Symptoms of COVID-19 consists of either cough or shortness of breath (difficulty breathing) or at least two of the following: fever, chills, repeated shaking with chills, muscle pain, headache, vomiting, diarrhea, and new loss of taste or smell. If you experience these symptoms, CALL your provider first.
• If you are on Medicaid and need help finding a doctor, call 1-800-362-1504 or go to https://medicaid.alabama.gov/ and click on the Provider Directory tab.
