Weather permitting, beginning at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, July 9, 2019, the eastbound lane of Court Street from Muscatine Avenue to 1st Avenue will be closed to through traffic as crews perform pavement repairs.
The repairs will mean a detour bus route will be in place. The repairs are expected to be completed by Monday, July 15, 2019.
Motorists, pedestrians, and bicyclists are to take note of this construction and to seek an alternate route or allow extra travel time as delays may occur. As always, caution should be exercised when traveling through all construction areas.
The Court Hill bus route will detour outbound. The detour route will use Burlington Street to Muscatine Avenue to 1st Avenue to Friendship Street to Upland Avenue and back to Court Street. Inbound Court Hill buses will be unaffected by the detour.
Four outbound bust stops will be out of service during the project:
Customers who normally use these stops can use any of the bus stops located on the south side of Muscatine Avenue as alternates.
