Meister selects Anaplan to connect its annual planning processes and improve company-wide collaboration

Meister, a leading SaaS company based in Vienna, Munich and Seattle, produces well-designed, team-focused and user-friendly software designed to improve collaborative processes and increase efficiency for teams. Meister currently offers three main products: MindMeister, MeisterTask and MeisterNote, a suite that provides end-to-end workflow management for teams through collaborative mind mapping, task management and documentation respectively. In summer 2021, the company raised $52 million in venture capital, an investment package that has provided the impetus for an ambitious global expansion. Despite this dramatic increase in available resources, Meister has reiterated its commitment to sustainability and scalability throughout the expansion process.

Meister's strategy to become a dominant player in the crowded global market for digital collaboration tools is based on data-driven decision making. In this context, the company's historic ecosystem of isolated spreadsheets and planning processes was no longer deemed sufficient for the task at hand. Specifically, Meister had used Google Sheets for its planning and budgeting. Yet, due to the manual efforts involved, operational bottlenecks blocked any detailed analyses needed to support decision-making processes. Likewise, as part of Meister's data infrastructure improvement goals, a platform that integrates natively with BigQuery Data Warehouse (which connects data from ERP and CRM systems) was required.

Using the Anaplan platform, Meister will be able to connect its annual planning processes and improve collaboration between its sales, marketing, HR, product, finance and partner departments. In addition, Meister will use Anaplan's platform to better understand the behavior of its customers, as they will be able to run detailed cohort analyses and include territory and quota planning for their growing sales operation.
