Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) Chief Administrative Officer Lisette Camilo was honored yesterday at City & State's 12th Annual Above & Beyond Gala, which were presented to the top 50 most influential women in New York State who have proven to have exemplary leadership skills and made significant contributions in their respective fields.

"I'm honored to be recognized by City & State and to be included in this impressive group of women who have led the way and made great accomplishments in their fields," said MTA Chief Administrative Officer Lisette Camilo. "Through engaged leadership and support from hardworking teams across the Authority, the MTA will continue its mission of providing the best possible service for customers across the metropolitan area."

Among Camilo's many accomplishments is the launch of an internship program as part of a joint partnership between the MTA and the City University of New York (CUNY). The internship program connects students at both the undergraduate and graduate levels with opportunities to explore lifelong careers in public service and transportation while supporting equity, diversity, and social mobility.

Camilo has been with the MTA as its Chief Administrative Officer since 2021 where she oversees its people, procurement, information technology, internal communications, and real estate organizations. Prior to her career at the MTA, Camilo served at the New York City Commissioner of the Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) under the de Blasio administration
