Senator Jean Stanfield, Assemblyman Michael Torrissi and Assemblyman Brandon Umba will be collecting school supplies and clothes for students of the Hammonton School District throughout the month of August.

The new collection box can be found in the municipal complex on 100 Central Avenue in Hammonton.

"I want to thank the Senator and assembly members for hosting this drive for our town's schools. The Town Council is excited to be a part of it and help kids in need in Hammonton," said Hammonton Mayor Steve DiDonato.

"The Hammonton School District is greatly appreciative of the generosity of so many to assist our students. As we prepare for the start of the 2022-2023 school year, these supplies will benefit many and ease the burden on our families. Thank you to all that have donated," said Hammonton Schools Superintendent Robin Chieco.

The 8th District Legislators are still accepting supplies at their new office located in the Elmwood Business Park, Suite B-101 in Marlton. The office park is located off of Route 70. "Hammonton Schools are a true melting pot with a rich and diverse culture of students. The teachers and administrators in the district do a great job, and I'm honored to be in a position to help them have a great school year," said Torrissi, who is a lifelong resident.
