Argent, Jimmies take top spots at Jamestown Invite

Paige Argent (JR/Minot, N.D.) shot a second-round 81 to take individual honors and help the University of Jamestown women's golf team capture the team title at the Jamestown Invitational, which concluded Tuesday at CrossRoads Golf Course in Carrington.

Argent's 161 (80-81) was two shots better than Amber Domres (SO/Bismarck, N.D.) (80-83), and four shots ahead of Haley Malone (FR/Moorhead, Minn.) (81-84) and Sarah Azure (SO/Jamestown, N.D.) (81-84).

The team of Argent, Domres, Azure, Jayme Carlson (FR/Hartford, S.D.), and Izzy Marchino (SO/Highlands Ranch, Colo.) finished with a total score of 655 (327-328). Dickinson State was second at 681 (345-336), Valley City State was third at 707 (358-349), and a second UJ team of Malone, Olivia Wallace (SO/Park Rapids, Minn.), Teagan Fee (FR/Havre, Mont.), and Abby Gremaux (SO/Lewistown, Mont.) was fourth at 724 (366-358).

Next up for the Jimmies is the GPAC Match Play event at Green Valley Golf Course in Sioux City, Iowa, on September 25.
