On April 16, 2024, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Victor A. Carrasquillo, age 25, of 120 Evergreen Drive (First Floor), East Providence, Rhode Island, as a Fugitive from Justice Warrant from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for the charge of Aggravated Assault with a Dangerous Weapon (Firearm). Mr. Carrasquillo was processed at the Lincoln Barracks and arraigned as a Fugitive from Justice in Kent County District Court.

On April 16, 2024, members of the Auto Theft Unit arrested Tomas Sepulveda Tavarez, age 28, of 261 Pulaski Street, Coventry, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Operation of a Chop Shop; 2) Possession of Stolen Motor Vehicle Parts; 3) Possession of Stolen Motor Vehicle Parts; and 4) Conspiracy. Mr. Tavarez was special arraigned by a Justice of the Peace and released pending a future court date.
