HONOLULU, May 6, 2024 - Hawaiian Electric crews will replace a faulted cable at the Marco Polo Condominiums requiring a partial lane closure on Kapiolani Boulevard in the McCully - Moiliili area starting Wednesday, May 8, to Friday, May 10, beginning 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. daily.
The customer project will partially close the far-right, eastbound lane of Kapiolani between Hoawa and Isenberg streets and restrict parking in the work zone to accommodate utility trucks and vehicles.
Safety signs and traffic cones will alert the public of the lane closure. Motorists are encouraged to reduce speeds when approaching and passing the work area, plan for minor traffic delays or use alternate routes.
