Buckeye promotes internal employees to directors

Congratulations to Suzie Boyles and Annie DeChance for being promoted to Directors. Ms. Boyle's promotion was to Economic Development Director and Ms. DeChance to Marketing and Communications Director. These two employees have made significant contributions to Buckeye's current success in their departments/divisions over the past few years.

Boyles was the city's Economic Development Manager since 2018. She has nearly 10 years of experience in managing projects and programs that support key economic development initiatives, including business attraction, marketing, workforce development, entrepreneurship and business retention and expansion efforts. During her time in Buckeye, she successfully located numerous businesses in the industrial, retail and healthcare industries to the city.

2016, DeChance has been the city's Marketing and Communications Manager. For the past five-and-a-half years in Buckeye, her efforts have increased attendance at city events, programs and classes, enhanced communication to residents through social media, electronic newsletters, videos and the city's website, and created solid working relationships with Mayor, Council, local media, agencies, neighboring cities and other department directors.

Boyles attended Western New Mexico University, were she received both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Business Administration. DeChance has more than twenty years of municipal government experience and graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in Communication.

These promotions did not result in any new full-time positions, and both employees started their new roles today.
