Prime Minister Kallas will pay an official visit to Sweden with a business delegation

According to Prime Minister Kaja Kallas, the entire Baltic Sea region is safe, innovative and forward-looking. "It is easy and safe to do business here. Estonia wants to look for even more opportunities for cooperation with good friends," said Kallas. "The visit has been long planned and will focus on sustainability and green technologies, including smart cities, smart mobility and digitalisation. It is in these areas that the companies travelling with me aim to develop and intensify cooperation with Sweden," explained Kallas.

Prime Minister Kallas acknowledged that the visit to Sweden is taking place at a time when Sweden has just taken a historic step and decided to join NATO. "We fully support Sweden throughout the accession process. We are working closely with Sweden in addressing the threats and challenges we all face both as NATO Allies, and during the time of Sweden's accession to NATO process, " emphasized Kallas.

In addition to defense co-operation, additional opportunities to support Ukraine will be discussed at the bilateral meeting with the Swedish Prime Minister Andersson. "We must continue to provide assistance to Ukraine and work together to make military aggression as costly as possible for Russia. We also have a moral obligation to support Ukraine in their EU aspirations, "said Kallas. In addition, the meeting will address bilateral cooperation and energy and climate issues.
