Minister of Foreign Affairs Meets Omani Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs
Minister of Foreign Affairs, Shaikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa today met the Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman, Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, currently on an official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Present was the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary General, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani.
During the meeting, Shaikh Khalid welcomed bin Alawi and stressed the depth and strength of the brotherly relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Sultanate of Oman in light of the common keenness of the two brotherly countries to enhance bilateral cooperation and coordination on issues of mutual concern.
This is, he said, in order to meet the aspirations of the two countries and avail the two brotherly peoples in all fields, wishing the Sultanate of Oman success in presiding the GCC current session.
Bin Alawi expressed pride to have visited the Kingdom of Bahrain and voiced appreciation for the warm welcome he was offered, affirming that the brotherly relations between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples are strong on all levels and so are their ties of love and kinship.
The two sides also discussed a number of issues related to joint GCC action and developments on the regional and international arenas.
Bin Alawi had arrived earlier today in Bahrain with the GCC Secretary General Dr. Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al Zayani and Shaikh Khalid was at the forefront of those who welcomed them on arrival.
