The Italian Trade Agency and PittiImmagine: a strong partnership
The series of press conferences organized by PittiImmaginemarks the beginning of the summer fairs dedicated to men's fashion and collections, along with contemporary prêt-à-porter collections for women, children's fashions and yarns for the knitting industry.
The cooperation between PittiImmagineand ICE-Agenziais stronger than ever before. Ever since it began in 2000 ICE-Agenziahas invited more than 2,000 members of the trade and journalists from abroad to attend the Pittifairs.
Furthermore, since 2014, this cooperation between PittiImmagineand ICE-Agenziahas been benefitting from a new financing instrument developed by the Ministry for Economic Development (MiSE- MinisterodelloSviluppoEconomico) in order to support major Italian trade fairs that was first used for that summer's edition of PittiUomo. Subsequently, the "grant for promotional activities" was extended to incoming programs, advertising and the events connected with the other Pittitrade shows.
The Italian Trade Agency's contribution for this season's fairs, will make it possible to flank and support the PittiImmagineSummer events that are sponsored by the Centro di Firenze per la ModaItaliana, by producing wide-ranging communications events and providing incoming services and hospitality for foreign buyers and journalists.
Some of the key projects promoting the new generations of Italian fashion designers include "PittiItalics" and "Who's on Next Uomo", produced by the Fondazione PittiImmagineDiscovery.
Last, but definitely not least, this season's presentations will include the first project linking contemporary fashion and the Italian artistic heritage in Florence - The Ephemeral Museum of Fashion (MuseoEffimerodellaModa)will be an exhibition showcasing the greatest names in fashion in the historic heritage site of Palazzo Pitti.
