Winter Celebrations in Fontana

The holiday season is here, and the City of Fontana invites the community to get into the holiday spirit and join us at one of our December festivities. There will be lots of joy and excitement with our events for all ages, ranging from underwater photos with Santa to the community-favorite the Annual Festivities of Winter. Gather with family, friends, and the City of Fontana to celebrate this special time of year.

Check out our exciting events:

• Tree Lighting (December 1, 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.): Kick of the holidays with the City's Official Tree Lighting Ceremony held in front of Fontana City Hall (8353 Sierra Ave.). Enjoy live entertainment and refreshments. Admission is free.
• Pictures with Santa (December 2, 5:00 p.m. - 8:00.): Bring your cameras and gather the family in their holiday best to take a photo with Santa Clause at the Jessie Turner Center (15556 Summit Ave.). Admission is free. Participants are encouraged to bring their own camera.
• Pictures with Santa (December 3, 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.): Bring your cameras and gather the family in their holiday best to take a photo with Santa Clause at the Don Day Center (14501 Live Oak Ave.) and Heritage Center (7350 W Liberty Pkwy). Admissions is free. Participants are encouraged to bring their own camera.
• Underwater Pictures with Santa (December 3, 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.): Make your Christmas photos stand out with a picture of scuba Santa. Bring your friends and family, your swimsuit, goggles, and join Santa underwater at the Fontana Park Aquatic Center (15610 Summit Ave.). Cost is $5 or toy donation. For details, call (909) 854-5111
• Fontana Christmas Parade in collaboration with Fontana Exchange Club (December 10, 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.): Join the Fontana community to celebrate the holidays with marching bands, holiday floats and local groups performing along Sierra Avenue. Parade starts on corner of Arrow Boulevard and Sierra Avenue. Admission is free.
• Festival of Winter (December 10, 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.): Enjoy the holiday fun with the games, snow play area, food & novelty vendors, crafts, live entertainment, photos with Santa and much more at the Festival of Winter. The event will be held at Miller Park (17004 Arrow Blvd) and is open for all. Admission is free.
• Light up the Holidays (December 16, 11:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.): Seniors 55+ are invited to get into the holiday spirit with games, music, giveaways and more! The event will be held at the Fontana Community Senior Center (16710 Ceres Ave.) Wearing festive Christmas attire is highly recommended. Admission is free.
