FDOT to Host a Public Meeting for Proposed Installation of

Pedestrian Crosswalks and Pedestrian Improvements

State Road (SR) 934/71 Street/Normandy Drive from Biarritz Drive to Versailles Court

Miami, FL - The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Six will host a public meeting to get the public's input regarding the proposed installation of pedestrian crosswalks and other pedestrian improvements along SR 934/71 Street and SR 934/Normandy Drive.

The meeting will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., June 19, 2018 at the North Shore Park and Youth Center, 501 72 Street, Miami Beach, FL. A presentation will begin at 6:30 p.m. Graphic displays will be shown during the meeting, and FDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project.

The proposed crosswalks and pedestrian improvements locations are:

  • SR 934/71 Street between Biarritz Drive and Verdun Court

  • SR 934/71 Street at Rue Granville

  • SR 934/71 Street between Rue Versailles Drive and Versailles Court

  • SR 934/Normandy Drive at Rue Notre Dame

  • SR 934/Normandy Drive at Verdun Drive

At the request of the City of Miami Beach, FDOT conducted a pedestrian safety study that recommends adding three pedestrian crosswalks and curb extensions at two intersections. This meeting will provide residents an opportunity to comment on this recommendation.
