Surprise hosting Independence Day fireworks on July 2

The City of Surprise is excited to offer Independence Day fireworks on Saturday, July 2, with multiple viewing options! There will be music, food and fun at Mark Coronado Park, a baseball game at Surprise Stadium, a swim party at Surprise Aquatic Center or watch from the comfort of your couch. Fireworks will begin at approximately 8:40 p.m.

Here's how to watch:
Mark Coronado Park
• 15850 N. Bullard Ave.
Festivities will consist of a DJ and inflatables for the kids! Food will also be available for purchase from a variety of food trucks. Gates open at 6 p.m. Be sure to bring a blanket or chairs, as it is lawn seating only. This is a free event, but canned food donations are appreciated!

Surprise Stadium • 15960 N. Bullard Ave.
Enjoy a free baseball game before the fireworks show! The Texas Rangers and Kansas City Royals minor league teams will face off at 5 p.m. Gates open at 4 p.m. The stadium will remain open after the completion of the game for anyone who would like to watch the fireworks from the stadium seats. We will also be collecting canned food at this event.

Surprise Aquatic Center • 15831 N. Bullard Ave.
The Red, White and Pool Party is sure to be a splash! Surprise residents can join us from 6 - 8:45 p.m. for games, swimming and a poolside view of the fireworks! Tickets are $6 per person and will be on sale starting June 21. Registration is limited to the fist 400 residents. To register, head to surpriserec.surpriseaz.gov and click on "Special Events."

For those who want to skip the traffic and enjoy the fireworks from home, we have an option for that, too! The fireworks show will be livestreamed on Surprise Live View, our camera at City Hall that will capture all the action!

Please note, Surprise Community Park is typically a popular spot for residents to watch the fireworks. This year, there will be multiple closures in and around the park that may impact parking in that area, as well as viewing. More information will be available closer to the event date at surpriseaz.gov.
