Fatal Pedestrian Crash - 5800 Block Northampton Blvd.

​VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - On September 27, 2021 at 7:42 p.m., Virginia Beach Emergency Communications (VBECCS) received reports that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle in the 5800 block of Northampton Blvd.

Virginia Beach Emergency Medical Services (VBEMS) personnel pronounced the victim, an adult male, deceased at the scene. Members of the VBPD Traffic Safety Unit (TSU) responded to assume the investigation.

The preliminary investigation revealed that a Toyota SUV was travelling southbound in the 5800 block of Northampton Blvd. and struck a pedestrian as he attempted to cross the travel lanes, outside of an intersection or crosswalk. The driver of the SUV stayed on scene and waited for investigators. There are no charges pending for the driver of the SUV.

The decedent has been identified as 56-year-old Aubrey Dion Parker of Virginia Beach.

This case remains under investigation by investigators assigned to the VBPD Traffic Safety Unit.
