Readout of Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III's Call With Greek Minister of National Defence Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos

Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III spoke with Greek Minister of National Defence Nikolaos Panagiotopoulos regarding the situation in Ukraine. The Secretary thanked Greece for its security assistance contributions to Ukraine. The leaders discussed the importance of continued Allied and partner assistance to Ukraine, and agreed to continue to closely collaborate on these issues, including finding a time to meet in Washington later this year. The leaders also reviewed the deepening defense partnership between the United States and Greece resulting from the updated U.S.-Greece Mutual Defense Cooperation Agreement (MDCA).
