NetApp Welcomes New Leaders to Power Company’s Next Stage of Cloud-led Growth

Giovanna Sangiorgi and Srivatsan Vaiyakarnam bring decades of global experience to NetApp's expanding go-to-market leadership team

SAN JOSE, CA - May 9, 2022 - NetApp, a global, cloud-led, data-centric software company, today announced the appointment of Giovanna Sangiorgi and Srivatsan (Sri) Vaiyakarnam to its go-to-market leadership team as part of the ongoing evolution of NetApp's sales organization to accelerate cloud-led growth. Both Giovanna and Sri report directly to NetApp's President, César Cernuda.

In her role as Senior Vice President for EMEA and LATAM, Giovanna Sangiorgi will continue to drive consistency and simplicity in those regions while more aggressively addressing key markets and segments, reaching new customers, and engaging with new partners. Giovanna rose through the ranks at Oracle in a broad range of roles in sales, consulting, and finance starting in 1992. She earned a degree in IT Science from the University of Modena and is based in Rome, Italy.

As NetApp's Chief Customer Success Officer and Senior Vice President of Customer Success, Sri Vaiyakarnam oversees customer support and success management teams to ensure positive outcomes for NetApp's expanding global customer base. Sri held several engineering, operations, and Customer Support & Success roles over more than 20 years at Informatica. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and his Master of Computer Applications degree from the University of Madras. Sri resides in Pleasanton, California.
