The University of Jamestown hockey team extended its winning streak to 12 games with a 7-2 victory over Williston State College Sunday night at WIlson Arena.
Jamestown scored twice in the first, two more in the second, and three times in the third.
Aidan Potas (FR/Fargo, N.D.) netted his first of the game at the 6:14 mark on assists by Gage Thompson (FR/Valley City, N.D.) and Tyler Chavez-Leech (JR/Red Deer, Alberta). Allan Pruss (SR/Red Deer, Alberta) made it 2-0 at 10:51 with assists from Dylan Haney (JR/Brandon, Manitoba) and Michael Pruss (SR/Red Deer, Alberta).
Brandon Schaber (SR/Alder Flats, Alberta) made it 3-0 with assisst from Allan Pruss and Michael Pruss at 2:18 of the second period. Williston State got on the board with a goal from Joe Orr at 11:25. Michael Pruss gave UJ another three-goal lead with his tally at the 15:04 mark. Allan Pruss and Trevor Okino (SR/Richmond, British Columbia) got the assists.
The Tetons made it 4-2 just 2:24 into the third period on a goal by Wade Auger.
The Jimmies finished the third period with a three-goal flurry in 3:00 of game time. Jeremy McNeil (SR/Calgary, Alberta), from Haney and David Anderson (SR/Santa Clarita, Calif.) scored at 14:35, then Potas got his second at 16:21 from Schaber and Thompson. Cole McKechney (SR/Calgary, Alberta) scored UJ's lucky seventh of the game at 17:35 from Carter Johnson (SO/Meeteetse, Wyo.) and Cayle Bell (SR/Fort St. John, British Columbia).
Anderson made 18 saves for UJ. David Allaire had 40 saves for Williston State, who were outshot 47-20.
UJ and Williston State conclude their series Monday afternoon at Wilson Arena, with a 3 p.m. start time.
