Men's Tennis Falls in Home-Opener to Division II West Chester

GLENSIDE, Pa. - The Arcadia University men's tennis team opened its fall dual match slate Tuesday afternoon at the Weiss Courts opposite Division II West Chester University, falling 9-0 to the Golden Rams. The Knights had several strong performances on the afternoon in what was the first of four dual matches on the fall schedule.

- and were locked into a tightly contested match at first singles to begin the afternoon, but fell after taking the first game, 8-5.
-The Knights' second and third doubles pairings were defeated by 8-0 decisions.

-Simeone continued his solid play into his first singles matchup, but ultimately fell 6-2, 6-4.
-Stellato dropped the first set at second singles, 6-3, before falling in the second, 6-1.
- was defeated at third singles by a final of 6-1, 6-3.
- played to a 6-1 victory in the first set at fourth and fell in the second 4-6, but could not come away with the win in the tiebreaker.
-Despite dropping the first set 3-6, rallied in the second set to break his opponents' serve at 4-4 at fifth singles, but ultimately fell 5-7 in the second.
- dropped his sixth singles matchup, 6-1, 6-0.

Arcadia (0-1) travels to Drew Sunday for a non-conference dual match at 9 a.m.
