ADVISORY - THURSDAY - State Solar Energy Planning Group to Discuss Community Solar and Electricity Strategies at December Public Meeting
Harrisburg, PA - The statewide Finding Pennsylvania's Solar Future planning group will discuss community solar energy development and strategies to increase solar-generated electricity on Thursday at its final public meeting of 2017.
The meeting will begin with an expert panel discussion of solar energy development in economically disadvantaged communities, a key component of the plan. Andrew Place, vice chairman of the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission, will give a lunchtime keynote address.
In the afternoon, the group will continue to finalize strategies for getting 10 percent of Pennsylvania's retail electricity from solar energy generated in state.
The meeting is open to the public. The morning and lunchtime presentations will also be livestreamed; registration is required for the livestream.
Finding Pennsylvania's Solar Future is funded the U.S. Department of Energy Solar Energy Technologies Office.
