July 4th Parade & Street Fair

Join us at the 4th of July Street Fair & Pushem-Pullem Parade on Monday, July 4, from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. in Downtown Ventura.

The parade will begin on Main Street in front of Cemetery Memorial Park and continue down Main Street through Downtown Ventura to Mission Park.

This 4th of July, please do your part to prevent fires and injuries caused by illegal fireworks and enjoy a professional display instead of putting your family and friends at risk!

If you see a neighbor lighting fireworks:

  • Call 9-1-1 if the activity is in-progress
  • Call the 24/7 non-emergency line at 805-650-8010 if there is no immediate threat.
  • Be prepared to provide a location of the activity and/or a description of those involved.

July 18 Public Meeting: Commercial Cannabis Applicants

Community members are invited to participate in an upcoming public meeting on Monday, July 18 at 6 p.m.in City Hall to hear from finalists applying for commercial cannabis permits in the City of Ventura.

The public is encouraged to be part of this next phase in the approval process by attending the meeting and sharing comments or questions online.

Tips & rebates: Water efficiency

Emergency drought updates as of May 2022

On May 24, the State Water Resources Control Board adopted Emergency Drought Regulations requiring urban water suppliers to implement demand reduction measures identified under Stage 2 of the supplier's Water Shortage Contingency Plan.

While there are no irrigation restrictions for local single-family residential customers, Ventura Water reminds you to reduce outdoor water usage as much as possible. Every drop counts!

Ventura residents are invited to join Ventura Fire for any of the upcoming fire station community meetings.

The remaining four meetings will be held on select Wednesdays from 6- 8 p.m. on:

Participants who attend meet local firefighters, tour the facility, hear about current conditions, and share input!
