AMES, Iowa - The Iowa State men's golf team begins its spring season of play, Jan. 27-28, at the Arizona Intercollegiate in Tucson, Ariz. Last season, the Cyclones finished tied for fourth at the event after tying the second lowest 18-hole team tally (270) in school history in the final round.
The team heads into the year ranked No. 84 by both Golfweek and Golfstat. With the current rankings, the Cyclones will look to move up and secure their fourth-straight NCAA Regional berth, and seventh overall in the era.
Senior has built an impressive resume in his fourth year wearing Cardinal and Gold. This will be his fourth time competing at the Arizona Intercollegiate. He set season lows for 18 holes (65) and 54 holes (205) last year.
will also compete in the Arizona Intercollegiate for the fourth time. Last year, he too set a season low with a 54 holes tally of 207.
Junior head into the fall season second on the team in stroke average (72.44) and third in birdies (24).
The Cyclones will compete in six regular season events and the Big 12 Championship. NCAA Regional play begins May 18.
