Mayor Bronson Invites Public to Memorial Day Ceremony

Anchorage, AK - Today, Anchorage Mayor Dave Bronson announced the Anchorage Remembers 2022 Memorial Day Ceremony. This annual event, put on in conjunction with Mayor's office and Anchorage Military and Veterans Affairs Commission, is an opportunity for the public to remember and honor our nation's fallen heroes.

"Memorial Day is a somber and special day for millions of Americans who remember their loved ones that gave the ultimate sacrifice defending our country. As a retired member of the military, I know the sacrifices required of our armed forces and their families," said Mayor Bronson. "This Memorial Day I encourage Anchorage residents to come together and remember those who fought and died, so that we could live and enjoy the freedoms our great country offers."

The Anchorage Remembers Memorial Day ceremony will be held on Monday, May 30th from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. along Delaney Park Strip at West 9th Avenue. The ceremony will include patriotic music, spiritual words, distinguished speakers and laying of the wreaths to honor the fallen.
