Deputies Give Speeches According to Constitutional Law NA Rules of Procedure

According to Article 124. of the Constitutional Law 'NA Rules of Procedure', the deputies can make a statement up to three minutes at the last main sitting on Tuesday of each regular sitting.

Arman Yeghoyan: TheMember of the European Parliament, the key rapporteur on the issue of Armenia Andrey Kovatchev with Members of the European Parliament François-Xavier Bellamyand Loucas Fourlas initiated and with 119 members appealed to the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and the President of the European Council Charles Michel, to force Azerbaijan to set the captives who are kept there free. In particular, they have noted that they talk about 72 persons whose fact of captivity Azerbaijan accepts, as well as about 112 persons about whom Azerbaijan does not give any information, and 61 persons whose fact of captivity Azerbaijan denies, however there are facts proving the opposite.

Hovhannes Hovhannisyan: As the Head of Armenia-India Friendship Group, I should refer to the Armenian-Indian relations. I strongly condemn breaking and burning of Mahatma Gandhi's statue. Before making claims, it is necessary that historians comprehensively study the issue from a scientific point of view. In particular, it is unnecessary to speculate such issues and try to harm the centuries-old friendly relations of the Armenian and Indian nations and cooperation between two countries.

Arman Babajanyan: What Aliyev does, in essence, is the law of geopolitics. I think that what is taking place is very legal. We should develop and implement a state program for those territories at least since May 12, 1994, modernize our army in parallel and wait for war every day. We did not do that. And the result is that what is continuing to take place in the occupied territories.

Tatevik Hayrapetyan: The entire medieval Armenian cultural heritage of Artsakh, which is under the occupation of Azerbaijan, is considered Udi by the Azerbaijani side, and Azerbaijan is engaged in a policy of appropriating it. I am not surprised by this working style of Azerbaijan. That state appropriated the cultural heritage of its neighbours, falsified history and created values for itself based on it and formed a state. We must act with a united front, set aside mutual accusations which will impede our aim.

Srbuhi Grigoryan: Dear colleagues of various international organizations, parliamentarians, diplomats from different countries of the world, what is happening after the war was predictable for me one hundred percent. I am Armenian. I inherited absolutely genetically true information from my ancestors. I am Armenian who also inherited self-defense coercion. I am Armenian woman and the fate of Armenian women and mothers are before my eyes who were tortured in the most incredible way a century ago. What was changed from what happened 106 years ago? Absolutely nothing.

Gevorg Papoyan: I want to touch upon some numbers which show what qualitative and quantitative changes really took place in Armenia in the last three months. Often when they speak about the economy, note that nothing has changed, however they do not refer to the number facts. Particularly, I should point out related to jobs: 622,500 jobs were registered in March 2021, which is 85,500 or more than 16% more than the same indicator for 2018.

Artur Hovhannisyan: Yesterday it was Press Freedom Day. Everybody congratulated on the occasion of the day, criticized powers for suppressing the press, although the press did not have such freedoms in Armenia. On that occasion, I tried to do little monitoring. I have singled out four pages of the website news names which, according to the requirement of the law, should present financial report until March 31, however they have not carried out that requirement.

Lilit Stepanyan: I will talk about education, as I receive many questions on this issue. As you know, the attestation process of teachers teaching in general education institutions in the Republic of Armenia started in 2011. We had a two-stage attestation process until 2021, in case of each of them there were mandatory conditions for that stage.

Anna Kostanyan: One of the Armenian values, occupied ShushiSaintGhazanchetsots Church, under the name of 'restoration,' is dismantled and destroyed by Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan still does not allow an independent expert group of UNESCO to visit the region, aimed at preventing daily vandalism against Armenian cultural values.

Ani Samsonyan: Unfortunately, nothing has changed in Armenia: relatives' sponsorship system still continues. Has the institution of corruption been destroyed or not? I am sorry, but I have strong doubts about that.
