Statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan

Uzbekistan has received with deep regret the news of numerous casualties and injuries, as well as significant destruction as a result of the earthquake in the Afghan provinces of Paktika and Khost.

We express our sincere condolences to the families of the victims and wish a speedy recovery to all the injured people.

The Government of Uzbekistan is ready to provide all possible assistance to the fraternal people of Afghanistan in overcoming the tragic consequences of the natural disaster as soon as possible.
