COVID-19 COMMUNITY TRANSMISSION/CASES UPDATE

The public is hereby advised that 66 new community cases were recorded in the last 24hrs, bringing the total number of cumulative community cases to 247.

The Ministry of Health confirms a total of 1,510 tests were carried out today, as at 12 PM Monday 21 March 2022 at seventeen (17) designated COVID-19 screening sites, including health facilities.

In addition to the 247 community cases, 15 imported cases linked to the NZ 0990 repatriation flight on 06th March 2022, continue to be monitored isolation, bringing a combined total of 262 active COVID-19 cases.

The Ministry of Health has identified a total of 428 close contacts of these cases and remain under investigation.
