Over $2 Million Raised at 11 Day Power Play

Over $2 Million Raised at 11 Day Power Play

Updated: 11/30/2021

Rigorous and rewarding - two words to describe the 11 Day Power Play. The Frozen 40 completed eleven days of continuous hockey, achieving the world record for the longest hockey game, in support of cancer research and wellness programs in Western New York. The 11 Day Power Play surpassed their goal of $2 million and a portion of the funds raised will benefit the Roswell Park Oishei Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders Program.

Mike Hughes, senior vice president and chief administrative officer at Kaleida Health, was one of the Frozen 40 and raised over $78,000. We would like to thank Mike for his dedication and commitment to supporting this great cause.

Sincere thank you to all participants and donors for raising money for our kids. 11 days of hockey is no easy feat. But it's worth it when supporting WNY's toughest fighters.
