The visit to MoND of the Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine
Minister of National Defence, Vasile Dîncu, met with the Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Oleksandr Korniyenko, on Tuesday, 14 June, at the Ministry of National Defence Headquarters.
The meeting was a new opportunity to restate Romania's support of the Ukrainian people both for the sanctions imposed on the Russian Federation's unprovoked, brutal and illegal aggression against Ukraine and at humanitarian level, considering the fact that over 1.1 million refugees entered the Romanian territory and were given support during stationing on or transiting Romania.
During the talks, the two officials approached topics related to the support offered by the Romanian Ministry of National Defence to the population injured during the conflict as well as to the availability to ensure MEDEVAC of this population to other states.
