Riverside Drive

Beginning on Saturday, April 20th, 2024 at about 6:00 a.m. and continuing through Friday, May 24th, 2024 at about 5:00 a.m., Riverside Drive between Georgia Ave and Union Avenue will be totally closed to through traffic for RiverBeat Music Festival and the SmokeSlam Barbecue event.

Motorists who normally use these sections of Riverside Drive between Georgia Ave and Union Avenue are advised to use an alternate route during the duration of the closure. Delays are to be expected.

For northbound traffic, the signed detour route will make use of Carolina Avenue, Third Street and Jefferson Avenue. For southbound traffic, the signed detour route will make use of Jefferson Avenue, Second Street and Carolina Avenue.
