Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin congratulated Pham Minh Chinh on his appointment as Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam

The message reads, in part:

'I would like to congratulate you, on behalf of the Government of the Russian Federation and personally, on your election to the post of Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

'Russia and Vietnam are linked by our ties of friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership. Our bilateral cooperation is developing consistently in trade, the economy and investments. We are implementing major projects in energy, industry, transport infrastructure, science and culture.

'I have no doubt that energetic joint efforts between our governments will further strengthen Russian-Vietnamese cooperation and will create conditions for launching new multifaceted initiatives. This fully meets the interests of the Russian Federation and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

'Mr Pham Minh Chinh, I would like to wish you good health, prosperity and every success in your responsible position.'
