CTG commissions a 100,000-kilowatt affordable solar project in Hebei

China Three Gorges Corporation (CTG) announced that its alternative energy arm China Three Gorges Renewables (Group) Co. has put into operation a 100,000-kilowatt affordable photovoltaic project in Fengning, Hebei Province on December 8.

Located in the mountainous and hilly regions of Chengde City, Hebei Province, the solar power project delivers electricity to a 220 kV booster station through a 35 kV power transmission and transformation system. It is expected to generate an annual output of 150 million kWh, saving about 50,000 tons of standard coal and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 14,000 tons per year.
