Don't miss the RYA Training Conference 2018!

Calling all RYA centre principals, dinghy coach assessors and powerboat, PWC and windsurfing trainers!

There are still a few places remaining at the RYA Training Conference 2018 on the weekend of 10 and 11 February 2018.

The two-day conference, which is open to Day and Weekend guests, will be held at the Alexandra Hotel in Swindon.

Highlights include presentations such as the RNLI's top tips on using radar; how you to promote sailing and windsurfing to new audiences; and how to encourage new students to be environmentally aware as part of their learning.

There will be industry updates on technology advancements, how centres can benefit from the RYA's integration of Foiling into its Dinghy and Windsurfing schemes and how to make powerboating more accessible to people with disabilities.

Exciting workshops also aim to provide a bigger picture with some valuable insights and take-homes - such as how to bring focus to coaching sessions and how to investigate incidents and accidents effectively, plus Karen Creavin aims to inspire with her fascinating overview of how to remove barriers to encourage more people into sport.

All sessions are pre-booked when you apply. Weekend or day places are available.

Rachel Andrews, RYA Chief Instructor for Power, said: 'The RYA Training Conference is such a great event! It's an opportunity to catch up with other Principals, instructor trainers, Regional Development Officers and RYA HQ staff. Delegates get actively involved in sessions which are led by experts and we hope there's something for everyone. The sessions aim to deepen knowledge, present fresh perspectives and offer a wide view of the industry, we hope you will filter this through to instructors and volunteers.'

The RYA Training Conference (supported by Arthur J Gallagher) is an annual event.
